Mohamed Aziz Ben Amara is a Director of Photography, Colorist, and Videographer, based in Tunis, Tunisia. And the founder/owner of MABA PRODUCTIONS & POST LTD.
Aziz packs wide experience on audiovisual production sets and in post-production. He worked on different projects, with different equipment including video and cinema cameras (RED, ARRI, Sony, etc.), and post-production software.
Realizing his passion for photography at an early age, Aziz chose to study cinematography and filmmaking for his college degree at the most reputable film school in Tunisia, the Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts of Manouba (ISAMM). Back then, he was mentored by two world-class directors of photography Michel Baudour and Michel Houssiau. While at the same time interning at a marketing and content creation agency, and working as a freelance videographer. This led to gradually developing crucial knowledge that helped him eventually reach the level of an art director shortly after earning his degree.
After working full-time as a product photographer and art director, Aziz switched to full-time freelancing as a videographer, director of photography, and colorist. Succeeding in earning the trust of many producers, directors, top marketing agencies, and names like Ford, Jumia, Henkel, UNICEF, and the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs through his proactive personality, technical knowledge, and rich artistic vision.
